Fear Itself Shall Return…Eventually

Posted in Television News with tags , , , , on September 3, 2008 by Jason

Well, it seems that there are still five new episodes (“Something with Bite,” “Chance,” “The Spirit Box,” “Echoes,” and “The Circle”) on the way for the remainder of this season’s horror anthology show Fear Itself. I am unsure of when the remaining episodes will begin airing – probably next week after the RNC is finished. I, for one, can’t wait for their return.

As soon as I find out when the new shows start airing, I’ll update.

Fear Itself Returns

Fear Itself is returning this Thursday after a one-week hiatus. If you enjoy zombies (and who doesn’t just love zombies?) then you should like this one. Titled “New Year’s Day,” we find a woman who wakes up in a world filled with zombies and then must do whatever she can to survive. Sounds fun, right?

Steve Niles, the fellow that wrote the graphic novel “30 Days of Night,” wrote the episode. Darren Bouseman, directs the episode. He was also the director on the last three “Saw” films. Let’s hope it is as good and visceral as my imagination anticipates!

NBC’s Latest Show: Fear Itself

Posted in Television News with tags , , , on June 17, 2008 by Jason

Television shows that I actually like are few and far between. The ones that I do watch are either educational or have to do with some aspect of the paranormal. There just don’t seem to be very many good shows on the tube for folks (or maybe I just don’t know where to look!), and the ones that are good, such as Joss Whedon’s incredible Firefly, don’t last as long as I’d like… I still can’t believe Fox canceled that one!

Anyway, I thought I would mention a new television show on NBC that I am really digging. It is called Fear Itself and is a horror anthology show similar to what Showtime did with their Masters of Horror series. Each week there is a new story written by a different writer and starring a different bunch of top notch actors. The show is only two weeks old, but I like what I’ve seen thus far. You should check it out if you get the chance – it is on Thursday nights at 10PM, but you can watch full episodes on the NBC website. I think most horror fans are going to like it. Hell, I even love the theme song (Lie, Lie, Lie by Serj Tankian).
